I have a 22 colt pistol that was made in 1903 I think it is a woodsman but i know that the woodsman was not made until 1915 i also found that they made a woodsman prototype before they called it a woodsman just wondering what exactly i have.

The Colt Automatic Pistol, Target Model, Caliber .22 came out in 1915.
It was not named "Woodsman" until 1927. Collectors call one of the earlier guns a "pre-Woodsman".

A marking of 1903 is a patent date, not the year of manufacture. If that is all it has, it was made between 1915 and 1918 when the next patent was issued.
