I need some new wooden grips for my 638. Would love to see pics of yours. Also what is the length difference between boot and combat.

I like the look of the banana grips.
Along with the good looks of the banana grips there is a bonus. Take a look at them and then look at the Service grips. You will notice they are not only longer than the Service grips but they extend under the trigger guard like more modern combat grips or like if you added a Tyler T Grip. The Banana grips are very comfortable to shoot with even when firing hot .38 Special +P SD rounds. The downside is, they are not made for use with Speedloaders although Speedstrips work fine.
