I would be surprised if there was some freedom of information act in your state that would make it available.

the list is made up of the people you already think are on it I would say 2,000-3,000 at most and stay about the same since the same people get elected every time unless they go to jail or die:banghead:

everallm - lol, sums it up well.

I don't think you can get this info easily... if you could, San Francisco would have already marched on the streets (5 permits issued.... for 5 politicians)

You really don't want this to be information publically available, wherever you live.

I've wondered a few times whether any of our local city council obtained CCW's after the shootings there in Feb (Kirkwood, MO), but the beauty of it is that no one's sure. After all, the first one the gunman targeted was the only armed person in the room, the cop. After that the only resistance he had was the city attorney throwing chairs at him until more cops showed up from the station next door. My hunch is there's a good chance that at least that city attorney has a CCW now.

I don't think any information of that sort should be published, but it most certainly should be available in may-issue areas. In shall-issue states/areas there is no argument for making it available at all. However, places where somebody has discretion over the issuance of permits needs to be closely watched in order to make sure there is no "elite" class of people.

It is not a good idea to have it public. Here in VA, a local newspaper published a complete list including names and addresses. A permit to carry CONCEALED does little good when everyone in the world knows you have a permit.

Plus it also is a nice shopping list for criminals, since a person with a CHP would most likely have firearms in their home.

Within days, most gun owners in the state sent them emails and phone calls voicing their discontent and they pulled the list down off the website. But, the damage was done. It would be like posting a list of all undercover officers but only for a few days. Whoever saw the list, has seen it.

Oh, Roanoke

Check your state, might be public record. In VA it is (for now at least)
