Steyr M9 shooting to the left

...or at least I think it is. I may very well be the one causing it to shoot left, but I don't have the problem with my airsoft pistol or any of my rifles. So, what is the best method to find out if it is me or the pistol? I go to the range alone usually so having someone else shoot it isn't really an option. Now, if I determine it is the gun, should I change the front site, or the rear site (both drift sites). I am basically at a loss as to what to do right now. Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks

Try loosening your grip on it---don't really need a death grip to keep it from flying out of your hand----lol.

You could use a pistol bench/perch to find out if its you or the gun thats shooting left.

It may be you or the sights may need to be adjusted.
Heres what you can do. First get a couple of people who you KNOW can shoot better than you...very good. Get 4-5 different kinds/makes of ammo.
The more diverse the ammo the better.
Shoot the gun from a bench rest at 5 yds. Each person shoots the gun.
Now do it with different ammo. Now run the target out to 7-10 yds.
Repeat the each shooter/each ammo and see what the gun is doing.
If its really shooting to the left...it will be consistant with each shooter and ammo. The POA will get farther from the POI, the farther you run the target out...then you need to tweak your sights.
But dont do it until you KNOW its the gun......

I would suspect the shooter before I turn to the gun. Shooting left is a common problem for new pistol shooters. (Sorry, but an airsoft is NOT a pistol).
Work on pressing the trigger smoothly, slapping/jerking the trigger is common cause of shooting left for a right-handed person.

My first question is, how much "finger" are you using on the trigger? If you are right handed, not enough finger will make you shoot to the left, too much and you "hook" to the right. So as a golfer would say, you have a slice..
Hand the gun to someone else, and see if it's the sights, or the shooter. I usually guess shooter before I guess gun..
