sooo.... if they make Sten kits, AK kits, AR kits, SKS kits and other random weapon build kits... whats the chances of a future possible Welrod kit? not supressed of course, but i believe it would be a reasonable/necessary addition to a mil-surp gun collectors display. according to Wiki, only about 2,800 were made, so even if i had the legal papers i could never afford a real one. a fakie one that shoots will do just as nice

well its a suppressed pistol, so it would be an NFA item, and creating an NFA item opens up a whole new can of worms

I had never heard of that before. :) Although it appears crude in construction it is really quite ingenious.

If you live in a state that allows you to have NFA toys, specifically a silencer, you could make one. You'd have to get the ATF approval to build a silencer, but that's not *that* hard.

It looks like anyone with machinest ability and simple machine shop tools could put one together. Just get a decent set of plans and extrapolate whatever is missing from the plans.

I doubt anyone will do it commercially though as I *really* doubt there is enough interest in the gun to make it commercially viable.

im not looking for a silenced model, just for aesthetic purposes. not a lot of people know this was one of the pivotal guns in many theatres that helped covert operators through their missions. its not as mass produced or widely seen in movies as the standard military issue weapons (i.e. M1, Sten, MG-42, Luger...). maybe ill just slap one together with some PVC and spray paint... but i wanted a working one. im a Michigan resident and unless the laws have recently changed, they frown upon silenced/supressed firearms.
