I can't believe I got my Texas CHL in just 27 days mailbox to mailbox! From all accounts they were being processed at a much slower rate and I was expecting at least a two month wait.

Now all I have to get a decent IWB holster for the Beretta's (92 FS & 96F):D

They must be moving quicker these days. Usually a 2 month minimum wait.

Gundolero - May I suggest a Milt Sparks Holster? And if you don't want to wait for Milt to make it, check out one of his distributors - Lightning Arms Sports. Craig and Audrey are wonderful people and carry a good supply in stock. Check them out.

Everything I've heard lately has been that they're moving much faster than 2 months. I should have mine soon.

I haven't got mine yet. The DPS also bounced my fingerprint card, which bought them more time. This would be week eight.

Try Aker Leather at www.akerleather.com. I've found their quality is first rate. Shoot well and often.

Congrats!

Mine took about 2 months last Spring. I actually ran back inside the house like a little kid when I got it in the mail.

My wife and I had to wait a full two months. They came on the same day She was lucky, hers came five days after her birthday so she has almost five years before her's expires. The only problem is we can't take the course together anymore.

Mine took just under 2 months. Sure is nice being legal about it now.

the only guy I knew to get his that fast had just passed a military security clearance and an ffl re-up. Still, it was probably a fluke. Maybe things have gotten more streamline lately. the number of active licences was 234, 400+ on august 1.

I actually suspected things would slow down because of the Texas budget crunch. They were planning to raid the self supporting CHL coffers for the general fund but were stopped.

You were right about the fingerprint ploy. appears that many are rejected just to buy more time.

Just a knot for anyone who lives in SE PA. For $60 the chester county courthouse will get your CWP to you in 2-3 business days as well take your photo's and register you in their computer for automatic renewal reminders. Well woth the extra $40 IMHO.
