A guy at work purchased a Luger type pistol from another co-worker, and said the ammo he was given for it was .380. I have not seen the gun, and he wasn't sure about it's markings, though he said the finish is almost like a painted finish. He also thinks it might be a bit smaller than a real Luger. The gun does fire and function.
Does anyone have any idea what this guy has? He said he paid $30.00 for it...

Sounds like a good price to me! Erma did make a Luger clone in .380acp. I was once offered one in a deal with a Mossberg 500 riot anib I got for $100.
The guy wanted like $350 for this gun in maybe 2001 so I let it go. Get more info/pics of this gun if you can.

The "real" Luger was never made in .380 ACP except for two (2) experimental pistols made in the 1920's, along with two (2) in .32 ACP.
The description sounds like an Erma "Luger". It is well worth $30 if it works, which some of them didn't.
