Hello to one and all,
With the use of aerial smart bombs, and some say smart cannon rounds (anti copter) , and with the pending release of smart 20mm rounds for the next generation military small arms should we expect to see this type of smart ammo being used for Law Enforcement?
When is it not alright to use Military assets in Civilian environment.....
I for one do not beleive in the borging of LE into a paramilitary units.....

Shhhhh! Next thing you know, leftist extremists will start demanding legislated "smart ammunition" that magically veers away from protected classes.

If it misses its intended target, it continues to fly onward, seeking Chuck Schumer's butt. THAT's my idea of smart ammo.

"When is it not alright to use Military assets in Civilian environment....."
Never.
How is it that the military cannot legally violate posse comitatus while the civilian aspect can to no end? (Rhetoriacl, of course)
Civilian aspects use same-same equipment/tactics to enforce (arguably) unconstitutional laws on a daily basis.
Question better yet that we are exempt from the obtaining of the same type equipment.
That is really where the answers lie.
The (formally capitalized) bill of rights included a parity of the people with that of the government.
No longer.
Restrictions on capacity, rate of fire, caliber (maximum - re over .50 & minimum w/the advent of the nifty ~5.X "does everything round," too quiet - where's it end? we can't have anything too big, but can't have anything too fast/too pointy/too hard ... )
Where do "they" get off on the restricting of anything? & at a felony rap for a violation?!
Here's to y'all who fave Project Exile & "let's just enforce the laws we have" ;(
I'm with Nancy's fave remark, "Just say no!"
