Hello! This is my first post on this forum, I have visited it plenty before, and have found it very resourceful.

Anyway, my question is, what is a good way to carry a hunting revolver with a scope(taurus tracker 6"), any holsters? If there isnt any good way, I guess I'll get the 4" version of their .357 tracker.

Thanks!

Bianchi #4101 Ranger HuSH (scoped) (http://www.bianchi-intl.com/product/Prod.php?TxtModelID=4101)

It is a shoulder holster that suspends the gun across your chest. (The accompanying photo is not very illustrative of this and should be updated.)

Check THIS (http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/cb.aspx?a=407987#) one out from Sportsmans Guide.

Uncle Mikes offers a chest rig that fully covers the scope. I find them comfortable when used in heavy brush, they don't get snagged all the time like a belt rig can.

I used the redneck technique, I just took the Uncle Mike's I already had for my S&W 58 I had before I scoped it and cut the topstrap out as far as it took to clear the scope. Worked great.

I too took the Uncle Mikes holsters I had (belt & shoulder rigs) and cut them to fit my 454 Raging Bull with a green dot scope. After cutting them I used some black elastic I got at Wally World and sewed it over the rough edges. I just did not like the idea of my pistol draped across my chest because it would interfear with my tree stand safety harness.

Uncle Mike's if you like Nylon. Tons of custom makers - Mernickles, Galco, Bianchi, etc. I had a couple built by Pistol Packaging that were very high quality: http://www.pistolpackaging.com/

My only caveat is that they charged my CC immediately and took 6 months to deliver them.

I have a UM's shoulder rig that I make do with my contender scoped or unscoped, just tighten the strap down when the scope's off. It also fits my new scoped Ruger Mk II pretty well. It actually FITS a 10" scoped contender, but the 12" scoped .30-30 works in it okay. I ain't real picky so long as it's comfy and secure. On a cold day, I've even carried the contender into the convenience store to get coffee on the way home from the stand, LOL, CCW a single shot .30-30 contender, whadda defense gun!
