keep A500 or sell?

I have a Bronwing A500 (gas operated) that I got around 89 or 90 I think. Hardly ever used, maybe put at most 10 or 12 shots through it. Glossy walnut stock, 28 inch barrel, original receipt and box.
I'm thinking of selling it. I have a Remington 11-87 special purpose with 30" barrel and a hastings deer barrel for it and a Browning Citori from the early 90's.
Should I keep the A500 and put it towards a new gun(thinking about a Baer 1911 or another rifle like Sig 556) or keep it for a while longer? What's the used prices on these now? I saw a thread from 2006 that described someone selling a almost new A500G for $400. Pretty low if you ask me, especially for a mint condition gun. I wouldnt put this gun out to hunting, it's more of a skeet/trap gun with the nice finish and all.

looking at some sites, unless it is NIB or one of the limited edition DU-types, 400-500 seems to be the going rate.....they're nice shooting guns...

Well if you don't shoot it, and have other guns that you do I'd say sell. Especially if you're trading of that one for a gun that you will shoot.

looking at it today, it says Made in Belgium. Really sweet looking. I may hold onto it for a while in case I decide to dedicate more time to trap/skeet/sporting clays.

Why would you want to keep it just because it says "Made in Belgium"?
Though many Brownings were made in Belgium, the Japanese made guns were of as good or better quality. In fact, I prefer the Japanese made A-5s over the Belgium made. They are excellent quality guns.
Just curious!

you misunderstood....I was thinking of keeping it to use as a sporting clays gun if I didnt want to use my O/U for that. Or just shooting clay targets on a friend's farm all day. I wasn't implying that I would keep it just because it was made in Belgium.

Keep it!
I have a safe full and wouldn't get rid of any of them---unless I get a good deal on a trade!
FWIW, I have several Japanese made semis. Several Italians. A couple of American made. A couple of Turks.
My favorite guns, the ones I go to most are: a Stoeger 2000 new design, Franchi 48 20 gauge semi, and my latest addition, a Stevens 311 20 gauge. Ev Butler will get the 311 when he gets over his illness if I can't talk him out of it. After he became ill, he wanted me to find him a 311 20 gauge. I did. It is a Quails Fargo. I dearly love it. It is a double but we are discussing semis, aren't we?
I don't blame you for keeping your Belgium Browning. You always need one more gun.
I have one Belgium made Browning that I have never shot more than a couple of times. Excellent gun, I'm sure. But I have the above 3 "go to" guns for when the urge strikes me to pop some caps. My gun safe is full and I hope it stays full. I have about every brand and country represented except Brazil and Russia. Maybe later on. Or not??? As of yet, I can't bring myself to part with my little bit of pension for them.
My favorite country of origin for quality and reliability is Japan, especially SKB and Miroku made guns. IMO, they represent the best of the mid range firearms. Since I have no especially high priced pieces, I will ask others more knowledgeable about these for advice. On a reitred cops pension, they are out of my league. The better guns I obtained by auditing pawn shops and knowing what they had in the guns. I offered them a bit of profit and over 30+ years I have a collection I could not have otherwise afforded.
I don't shoot my better pieces much. I want to pass them down to my sons upon my demise. I do enjoy taking them out of the safe and fondling them, cleaning them, and occasionally making sure they work.
Have fun with your Belgium Browning. It will serve you well if you keep it clean.
Happy shooting!!
