Full height convex spine to edge by hand on stones
Sharpened and convexed swedge.
Smoothed and slimmed handles.

Added a Mineral oil saturated thin card stock spacer under handles to provide
better bond and a moisture proof seal.

Stainless removable screws and barrel connectors.

Before and after pics... comments?

Sweet! I bought 2 SAR5s as well. Been deciding what to do with the magnum handles, they're a bit big for me.

How easy was it to pull off the scales to do the mods?

Scales come off in about 1 min. Just drill the tubes until the flairs spin off.
Pry the scales loose and worry the tubes out of the handle. Easy as pie.

Grinding off all that INFI by hand on the other hand was AWFUL.

A slack belt grinder would be quicker, but hand is safer.
