Anyone saw the new Bersa ďThunder ProĒ?

In 9mm and 40 S&W.
Looks like the old Thunder but with a frame rail ( light/laser) and a loaded chamber indicator.

Also has a extremely rough, reinforced firing pin, specially made for continuous dry fire training.

I coulndít believe it when I read it, but it has a polygonal barrel, like Glcoks and H&K!
Thatís one big step forward for Bersa.

Talk with your dealer to get one before the word gets out. This is one serious puppy that will soon cost much more money.

you don't think this has come a little late?
Talk with your dealer to get one before the word gets out. This is one serious puppy that will soon cost much more money.you might have missed your opportunity by two years. In an interesting parallel the exchange rate on the Walther P88 killed it's sales. the US manufacturers like smith and wesson are much more competitive at the moment.

There is nothing new and compelling and I don't think they're going to be able to really wow us on price when there's really nice Stoeger Cougar 9mm out there for 350 or so.

I cannot find anything on the web about the Bersa Thunder Pro..nothing in the Bersa official web site nor in the web site of the official importer (Eagle Imports)...
No pics, no info...nothing...I tried to Google it in several different ways.
Where did you get that pics and info??
The pistol looks cool but are you sure is for real and not a Photoshop montage???

don't own any Bersa but have just not read any negative reports on the entire Bersa line, and certainly affordable and for the dollars spent, top quality to. this gun looks like a real winner..Nice looking ..

Well, I think itís a pretty good gun.
You do realize that the exchange rate you posted means that itís 3 times cheaper to produce the gun in Argentina than in USA, donít you? ;)

It is in fact a P88 clone, just made it a bit sturdier, more steel on the slide and barrel. Tough gun, and the company is 50 years old by now, all their products are well made and have lifetime warranty, no questions asked ( reloaded ammo and that kind of legal loopholes sometimes used). By the way, I never saw one of these blow up unlike many other guns.

I have 4 Bersa guns. A Thunder 9, a super 380, Thunder 22 and 23.

I use my Thunder 9 a lot and it has never let me down, not one miss fire or FTF in several 1000 rounds of reload and commercial.

Cant say the same about some much more expensive guns like the Beretta 96 I used to have.

I like the Glock better, but it costs much more and for a beater or someone looking for traditional ambidextrous DA/SA I think itís hard to beat.

Interesting! I have a Thunder 9 that never misses a beat. The barrel is stamped .40, hope it will be available in 9mm.

I looked at a Bersa Thunder 9 earlier today at the local Gander Mountain. Very nice gun, though the Beretta M-92 fit my hand just a bit better. Still, at around $350, the price was certainly right, though I understand that magazines are quite pricey. I'm in the market for a new double-stack 9mm, and the Bersa seems like it might be a contender.

I lost interest when I learned what looks like a frame mounted safety is really a decocker making it a DA/SA operation which I dislike very much.

Ok I have known about this pistol for a few weels. I was told by Eagle Imports that this was coming . Before it can be sold in America they need to jump the the Federal Hoops . Maybe late fall this year They also told me their would be no price increase . Since I deal with them weekly and have been their guest at last 2 NRA conventions . I tend to belive what they say.

Itís a piece of rubber.
During defensive shooting classes that last all day long, the trigger guard chewed my finger a bit so I added apiece of rubber. :)
Nothing wrong with it for normal sessions, but when you are drawing all day long and doing force on force drills the little piece of rubber saves some skin.
The Bersa 9 is my junkyard dog gun, so I donít care about looks ( or about cleaning it!) So I brush the barrel just a bit to remove some of the gunk building up, add a couple drops of oil to the slide and thatís it. Never let me down so far.

Looks like at the very least it'd be something useful to add to my collection, that won't break the bank. :D

I didn't read it right I was so not expecting that. What the hell are you doing down there anyway? you gotta have double digit inflation or something. damn, get out of there while you still can!

I owned the Bersa Thunder 9 last year for a few months. Was ok for what it was. The guide rod appeared to be made of plastic, though. After a few hundred rounds it looked as if someone had been chewing on it like a pencil where it rests against the barrel. I sold it not so long after that.

Mine, the one in the pic, has several thousnad rounds on it. Lost count.
I throw it around since I dont care about it's looks ( good thing about a good ,yet inexpesnive gun) but it holds on nicely, no big dents or marks.
