I have one on a teaching aid Ruger 10/22 and it's been working OK. Some folks think the window is a little smalle and you may find yourself hunting for the dot particularly if it's on a handgun but it seems OK to me on a rifle.

I had one on an AK side mount rail and it worked pretty well. Right now I have it mounted on my Leupold scope off to the side a bit so i can shoot at my local indoor range with my rifle. I know that might seem silly or weird.... It lets me shoot targets at short distances without the magnification of my scope.

as for the sight, its fairly good. I couldn't see myself buying a Docter as they are priced off the charts and I wouldn't buy a Chinese copy of ANYTHING. So i was left with the Burris, at least its an American company.

I wouldn't recommend it on a handgun as i thought about doing that with a Ruger Mk III, but it would be too hard to find the dot...

Just remember that its not good for shooting far distances.
anyway, I like it....

Neat, small red dot. Great for getting a coincident optic on a rifle that should be able to be coincident.
