(WA) Outstanding CCW Service

I applied for a non-resident CPL at the Bellevue, WA police department last Friday evening. As soon as I told the clerk what I wanted, she said "Do you mind my asking why you are applying for a license here?" I thought, "Here we go...let the games begin," but I just said "I'm working here for a while." Much to my surprise, the rest of the process went very smoothly. The clerk turned out to have grown up near where I grew up and we ended up having a nice conversation. The officer who did the prints was also pleasant and didn't ask any "why" questions. Today (Wednesday), my permit arrived in the mail. All in all, the whole process went very smoothly and with a minimum of hassle.
Well done, Bellevue PD!

Not to hijack the thread and cause it to drift off topic, but I hope you are kidding Sven. I have spent the last month in San Diego, and I can't WAIT to get back Silverdale...give me Western Washington anyday...
It's just not supposed to be 70 degrees with 95% humidity at 5 in the morning.
That's good news Unisaw....I was afraid that with Bellevue being the home of the Eastside Soccer Mom in Volvo's Mafia, that they might give you more grief there.

Sven,
A Gore-Tex coat makes an excellent cover garment...I can live with the rain and the gray winters.
