I've always admired the old world classic lever lock type auto's, but never owned one... until today.
It's a Mikov 241NP1 made in the Czech Republic. The blade is 440 Stainless, the scales are real Sambar Stag, the pins, liners and bolster appear to be stainless as well.

My initial impression are that it is high quality and in line with what I expected for $100.00. The action is positive, althou it dosen't like very light oil (WD40) but works 100% when lubricated with heavier oil (CLP or Hoppes). Oiled correctly it pops quite hard. The spring is easily removed and re-installed for maintenace.
The Stag scales are very nicely fitted to the liners and front bolster as well as being nicely checked and groved with a lot of character. Not overly wide at just over .750" at it widest point, it fills my meduim sized hand quite well.
The polished finish on the blade is flawless and mirror like. It measures .100" at it's widest point across the beam in the middle. The edge (bottom side as the top side is a false edge) is the only thing not quite up to snuff. It is a very blunt grind and not anywhere close to hair popping sharp like it should be IMO. Althou that can readily be fixed with a some time on a stone, I expected a steeper grind and sharper edge from the factory.
All in all, I'm pleased to have it in my collection and would recommend a Mikov to anyone looking for a reasonablely priced, quality lever lock auto. Hopefully next payday I will be able to compare it to a Herbertus which is only a bit more $$$. After that I may buy an AKC "Leveretto" which is slightly less $$$ just for GP :evil:.
