Does anyone here varmint hunt with this caliber?

I read a article in the VHA magazine that got me interested.

My current varmint rig weighs in a 15 lbs and i have been using it a "target" rifle as of late. I was looking at getting a sporter type gunn with maybe a # 5 contour barrel that weighs in at around 9 pounds with scope attached. [fixed 12 power with a target dot?]

What maker would be the one to look to, Remington or Kimber would seem to logical choices.

I have read that there are a couple of variations on this caliber also.

Any feedback or personal experiances with this caliber would be welcome.

Thanks - 12-34hom.
