I am interested in buying a used, but at least 95% condition, S&W 627PC with the short barrel.

What would be a fair price?

By the way, is the 627PC with the short barrel (I think it is 2 5/8") a hard to find firearm?

I think those 3 or 3.5 in N frame 357s get bought up as soon as they are announced. So standby for sticker shock.

I shoulda bought an ancient one that crossed my path many years ago.

Saw a new one last spring with an asking price of $750. It was gone a week later, but I really don't know for how much. Knowing the dealer, a good swag would be $675.

Depending on the market, seven-and-change seems about right. I think I paid $725 for mine.

David the 2 5/8" is hard!!! to find I have spent months looking for one finally found one this week out of state and due to the lack of service from the gun store was unable to purchase. See my rant in the dealings section of this forum.

What are the prices differences, if any, between the UNfluted and the fluted versions of the 627pc short barrel?

Is one harder to find than the other?

If a current good condition 627pc short barrel goes for about $750, what was the original price for a new 627pc short barrel?

:D  :D

Be prepared when I sold mine I had a few people lined up to pay me more than what I paid for it new.

They seem pretty hard to come by as compared to the Miculik version.

My local shop has a 6" model NIB for $799. I've been drooling over it for the last few weeks. I just payed off my GP100 so maybe after I pay off the Marlin 1895GS and Super Redhawks in .454 and .480 I can put money on the 627. But then again I need to save money for when my 500 comes in.

I got lucky. Bought my 627 PC 3" V-Comp with removable compensator new on Auction Arms for $616.00 plus shipping. I have seen them go for a lot more. Have never fired mine. Took it to the S&W factory show in Florida today and had the PC gunsmith there do an action job on it while I watched. Real nice trigger now.
