Just signed a contract with them to publish my article on Conner Prairie Living History Museum. The article discusses Jim Chamber's (Marsh Jim) lock assembly class as well as building a Tansel style powder horn with Art De Camp (Treasurer of the Honourable Company of Horners). It is a "how-to" teaching a lot of valuable tips learned from both classes.

I used to belong to the National Muzzleloading Rifle Association for years. They put out a fine magazine....but the dues got to be pricey for just a magazine subscription. Friendship Indiana is too far away. So I just stopped being a member.
Think I'll take another look at them again.

Seancass - I'm actually from (my apologies to everyone here), ahem, the Left Coast Kommuinist state of California. I'll be in Indiana in Oct. to attend Conner Prairie's Arms Making Workshop.
Scrat - thank you. :)
Niner - Muzzle Blasts is supposed to publish my analysis on the performance of the British redcoat in the French & Indian War (and Pontiac's Revolt) in their August issue. There's a recently published book on one of the involved regiments and the author's interpretation is good if one elects to ignore all the research since 1920. My article is much shorter but much better (not being egotistical and when you see it, you'll agree).
BTW, Gettysburg Magazine will feature my article, Sharpshooting at Gettysburg in their June 2008 issue. It's over 12,000 words or 18 pages of good reading fun. Click on the link for more info: Gettysburg Magazine (http://www.gettysburgmagazine.net/)

I wasn't aware of Gettysburg Magazine. Looks interesting. Just reading a biography of William C. Oates who led an Alabama regiment against Little Round Top.
