It looks nice. Did you get a good deal on it?

A pretty decent deal, as I can't even remember the last time I saw a Colt Lawman, let alone a nickel one. Well done sir.

Nice revolver and a good price to boot. I never seem to find deals very often at pawn shops. I'm polite, offer to pay cash, but many times they refuse to budge at all. I've seen used items at pawn shops going for more than new.

I agree with you Baldguy, it used to be thats where the deals were, not so much now and just depends on the gun I guess, these same folks had a nickel Trooper III I would have liked to had but the asking price was almost $300.00 more than the Lawman, and it had some serious finish issues. Maybe they were into the Lawman way below what they had to have for the Trooper, but unless Ray Charles shows up in search of one it will be there quite a while.

Congrat's of the find. Even harder to come by, is a 4" Colt Trooper MK-V
with Coltguard finish. They were only made for a short time (around the
early 80'); and once they were gone, they NEVER came back. I had one
that I bought NIB; but like other's, I let it slip thru my fingers~! :(

I know how you feel. I had a Colt MK.V, blued with a 6" barrel. The DA was decent enough and everything locked up nice and tight. It was also the first revolver I've ever had where the factory wood stocks actually fit my hand perfectly. I would love to have that one back.
