Curious as to the value of a claymore mine ignitor. I received it from a friend several years ago, it makes a damned nice paperweight/conversation piece. Have these been available on the surplus market, or is this item quite unique? I'd appreciate any info you might shed. Thanks!

Sadly, I don't happen to own any claymores..................

Looks like a squeeze-type electric generator. Very cool! I've never seen one before, and I tend to collect things like that. I'd say you have something fairly unique. :)

Hey, I'm kidding. But this item has a high coolness factor.

I've had one in my collection since the late 60's when I was using them.
Used to have an inert training Claymore too, but I don't know what I did with it!

They used to be very available at gun shows & shotgun news, but I haven't seen one for years.

We would use them to detonate Hoffman charges (main gun simulators for tanks). It would generate enough juice to set off up to three wired together. Ah memories!
