I have a CZ-P01 and love the pistol. That said, I have seen pictures of the same pistol on this site (and others) with a 'flat' magazine butt plate.

The butt plate on mine is somewhat fat and rubbery. My thought is that a flat butt plate would enhance carry comfort and possibly help with printing???? I think...

Is there a way to modify my current magazine or do I have to purchase a different magazine?

Thank you

Mec-Gar mags come with the flat base. They can be switched.

I have both the Mecgar mags and the factory mags with the spongy buttplate. I prefer the flats, but it doesn't seem to make any different in the way it prints.

Factory curved baseplates give me just enough room on the compacts. I also curved the Mec-gar bases, and installed on the factory mags:)

I did the opposite - my PCR came with flat metal baseplates that extend past the front of the magazine (to help rip the magazine out if needed) and they dug and bit into my little finger, so I put on rubber-covered ones. :D There is still metal underneath to engage the floorplate catch, so I see no reason why the rubber could not be removed.

Or, I still have the three baseplates I took off. Send me a PM if interested.
