Minnesota State Fair

Hello all!

I have a couple questions regarding the Minnesota State Fair. I've heard on the local news that there are signs banning guns on the fair grounds. First, is is legal for them to post? The second question I have is this. If I were to ignore the signs and carry a small auto in a fanny pack, could a police officer stop me and ask to look inside the pack? Could they legally search me if they thought I might be carrying a gun?
