Is there an interest out there for the Lord and Lady derringer sets that were commisioned by Colt back in the 60's or so ? I think mine is the second edition with the phony leather box which is reddish brown in color. The plating is starting to flake off the 2 derringers, still holding on to them for possible trade, maybe for a surplus gun of some sort. A reasonable value is what I'm looking for.:banghead:

Check the auction boards or GunsAmerica; they show up from time to time and run from prices ranging from $400 to $600 for the set. While there may not be a lot of interest in them beyond Colt collectors, they do seem to move quickly enough when they are offered for sale.

That's a very good price for a pot metal replica, the metal is so soft that after a few rounds of .22 short it becomes a smooth bore.. What was it that P.T. Barnum said?

My opinion only...

I've seen several different variations of Colt derringer sets offered for in my travels. While I don't profess to be an expert on any of them they don't seem to have anywhere near the cache' as the rest of the Colt line.

In other words, they don't have the the broad appeal something like a Gold Cup or a Detective Special so your prospective buyers will be fewer & further between so you'll probably have to price accordingly.
