Welcome to the Last Frontier.
Thankyou I am really looking forward to my new life. It's my understanding that in Alaska one can conceal a handgun with no permit is that true?

As long as you are not prohibited for specific reason (felony, mental incapacity, etc) that is my understanding of it as well.
May I ask why you are joining us here and where you are located?

For the most part work and adventure I lived in Anchorage back in 2004 for a short period of time and then moved due to my enlistment into the U.S. ARMY and now I want to go back I just really loved it up there. I was also born in anchorage so I have family there also. I am currently living in Seattle Washington and Im just kinda sick of it so Im moving out

The only piece of advice I can give you is to stop by and see my friend Ken at Wild West Guns.

He is the man. Best prices and deals on Colts, Sigs, FN, etc....
Tell him Rellascout sent you.

We have two main ones in the Anchorage area. One is Rabbit Creek run by the state, the other is Birchwood which is private but has very reasonable fees.

RC is just south of town but pretty small and often very crowded. Birchwood is further out to the north about 20 miles

you lucky guy! I lived in Anchorage from 1978 to 2000, then 3 yrs in North Pole. I still get pretty nostalgic at times, I may move back sometime.:)

Stop by the indoor range in Palmer for some IDPA shooting. 1st Saturday and 3rd Sunday every month. They are closed this month for some ventilation upgrades.
welcome back!
