I think this info is no more than a few years old.

California
Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD)
Special Weapons And Tactics (SWAT)
The LAPD-SWAT has customised 11.43×23mm (.45 ACP) Colt M1911A1 pistols, 11.43×23mm (.45 ACP) H&K MK23 pistols, 9×19mm H&K MP5A4N submachine guns, 5.56×45mm CAR-15A2 Model 723 assault carbines, 5.56×45mm H&K HK33KA1 assault carbines (with 4× scope, mostly replaced by the CAR-15A2 and AR-15A2), 5.56×45mm Colt AR-15A2 Model 702 assault rifles, 5.56×45mm Robar SR-60 bolt-action sniper rifles (with 9× scope), 7.62×51mm H&K PSG1 sniper rifles (with nightvision scope), 7.62×51mm Remington Model 700 bolt-action sniper rifles (with 9× scope), 12.7×99mm Barrett Model 82A1 sniper rifles and 18.5×70mmR (12-gauge) Benelli M1 Super 90 semi-automatic shotguns. The 18.5×70mmR (12-gauge) Remington Model 870 pump-action shotgun is used to launch less-than-lethal munitions.
The armoury also holds 5.56×45mm Colt AR-15A1 Model 603 assault rifles (M16A1), 5.56×45mm ArmaLite AR-18 assault rifles and at least one 7.62×51mm Saco M60 machine gun, but these are not usually issued.
Support vehicles include GMC Suburban vans, a Cadillac Gage V-100 Commando armoured car and Bell Model 206B JetRanger, Bell Model 205 Huey (UH-1H) and Bell Model 406 helicopters. The UH-1H is usually used by SWAT.

Here's a Popular Mechanics article which describes what toys LAPD SWAT uses.

From my understanding, they are transitioning to more M4-style (CAR-15) rifles from the H&K subs as a result of the LA shootout.

All anyone had to transition to in order to quickly end the LA shootout were slugs.
Somethig the LAPD quitely admits, or at least, quietly admitted.

12.7×99mm Barrett Model 82A1 sniper rifles
Heh, I havent heard anything about Barrett returning their 82A1. Do they still count as having one? :neener:
Note how they also dont give the (.50BMG) for the Barrett like they do for the .45acp pistols and shotguns...
