I just bought it online. A 9 shot 1952 H&R 922 with a 4" barrel, box and papers. Tomorrow, the money goes out and I wait for delivery. Long live the C&R license!

Nice looking addition. I really like the H&R .22's. You can collect quite a few different models for not a lot of money. All of mine are good shooters, a good deal for the money in my opinion.
Let us know how it shoots when you have a chance to try it out.

I like it! My favorite .22 revolver is the H&R Sportsman 999, so I am naturally inclined to like H&R .22's. I will be curious to see how it shoots for you.

Very Nice!

Congrats on such a neat gun!
That one is great for new shooters, especially kids!

I recently got a 2 1/2" for $50. I was surprised how much I liked it. I already own the 999's and I figured the 922 to be the junky cousin.

I stupidly passed an old one in the box for $125 last year. A local shop wants $150 for a 6"with grips like in the picture, I passed at that price.

I have a 9 shot H&R M949 which is also a great shooter. Those old H&R .22 revolvers are worth much more than the price you can buy them for IMO.

what stops the rounds from falling out of the cylinder absent of a loading gate?

the pix show nothing to prevent the rounds from falling out of the cylinder on the right side if the gun is tilted....whats thier trick to prevent this?

If memory serves, the loading cutout only lines up with a chamber when the gun is at half cock. The cylinder is free to turn at half cock.

It has been many years since I've dealt with one of these though.

I've never had a bad experience with any H&R.

JERRY,
Here is a picture of the other side of the revolver, you will see the rounds can't fall out...

Here is an extra picture of the revolver in it's holster:
