Gettin' the tube off!

I have a new TNN/Norinco "Old West" Winchester M97 12 ga. riot gun.

Seems to be a decent enough piece, although a bit rough around the edges.

Anyhow, my issue with the M97 clone is with the dissassembly.

I need to remove the slide handle/action bar to resolve a loose wood issue, and maybe de-burr the inside of the metal pump tube.

My firearms assembly/dissassembly book shows a take-down M97 shotgun. Mine has a solid frame design. Played around with the thing, attempting to remove the action bar from the bolt. No good. Looks as if I must remove the mag tube to get the action bar loose from the bolt.

I made a brief attempt to unscrew the tube, however it is on tight, and I don't care to marr my fairly new gun!

All I really need is the action bar/forearm assembly off the gun. Does anybody have any advice about disengaging Chinese Clone M97 action bars from it's bolt groove?

Thanx, Stevie.

Coyote Cap used to be working hard to get reliable Chinese repros stateside, you might do a search for new/old posts relating to your problem....
