Anyone know where to go to get a good condition Lee-Enfield No1MkIII* stock and barrel? I have an old milsurp that I got for a song back in the day that has a stock that looks like a tent stake and a barrel that was obviously used with corrosive ammo and not cleaned properly. Pitted rifling the whole length and its practically a smoothbore up at the muzzle end.

Yes, I know I could try and salavage the existing stock, and still might someday, but it...uh...ain't pretty.

Yes, I also know that this will not be an economical endevour. Don't care, I want to fix this one up. As far as the replacement wood goes, I really don't care if it has any cartouches or stock markings. One of the main reasons I don't want to do a restoration on the current wood is that it is extensively marked, and would also require extensive work. I don't want to bugger up a piece of history...I'd rather remove the wood and store it for my grandkids, and let them bugger it up. ;)

Thanks,

Mike

www.e-gunparts.com has what you're looking for. you'll need to have a barrel made, though.
