See this thread (http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=37071) for an explanation from Nicki Fellenzer (posting as "Tempest"). She didn't include an expected time for revival, but at least it appears to be a technical, not political, problem.

The mail server does appear to be working. Set up a mail client to access it as a pop3 server. Don't use webmail.

There is a ton of problems because of this new worm/virus going around. My company (fortune 500) lost outside web connections for half a day because of it. Update your virsus definitions. If you don't have a virus checker, that's like not having a self-defense weapon in your home these days.

Well, guys -- we had it up for about 1/2 hour last night before it crashed again! At this point we're all about ready to bang our heads against the wall!
:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
This was something very unexpected and very complex. But I'm keeping my fingers, toes, eyes and other extremities crossed that we will have it up by tonight! :uhoh:
The webmail works because it's html, as opposed to asp - whatever that means! (I'm computer illiterate!) :D BUUUT - for anyone who wants to access their webmail, just go here: http://mail.keepandbeararms.com:8383

Honestly, it's hard to answer. We thought it might have something to do with the MS patches that were downloaded. Then, when we had it up, it's almost as if someone was watching and literally shot us back down again. Now we have three of the most computer literate geniuses working on it, and it appears to be bugs in the code. The guys were at it all day yesterday, and they were speaking such a difficult dialect of geek speak, that none of us "civilians" comprehended it at all! :D
In any case, it appears to be some nasty bugs in the code, and they are STILL debugging! We had it up last night for a while, but it appears to have crashed again -- or our guy took the server offline, one or the other.
I'll keep you guys informed as I find out more.
Rest assured, however, that there will be hundreds of firearms news stories once we're back up. We have been keeping up with them, and had over 100 last night when I checked.

Nicki and Angel,
I always start the day by reading KABA (thank the lord for Angel with a .44), so, like others here and elsewhere, I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping the code geeks can do their thing.
Thanks for the update.
Arrrggghhh
Adios

Baba -- we all are -- fingers, toes, eyes, and every other extremity possible! :D These guys are literally amazing, so I have no doubt they will fix it soon! :uhoh: We've never been down this long, so it's extremely frustrating to the point of tears! :banghead:
Thanks for the kind words. :)
I'm usually running around, but I'll check in every once in a while and keep you guys updated.

I promised I'd keep you guys apprised of what's going on, soooo....
KABA is back up.
Microsoft bugs appear to have been the problem, and after hours on the phone with MS, our amazing, unbelievable, incredible tech dude fixed it!
Hopefully it's fixed for good this time. :D
