MisterPX June 10, 2008, 05:12 PM Besides teh factory mounting system? I'd reccommend a LaRue or a GGG lever mount, if that's what you mean. Otherwise, YHM has a nice riser. dodging230grainers June 10, 2008, 05:43 PM what do you mean factory system? Can I put the Eotech 512 straight on the out of the box Bushmaster's carrying handle??? Gunsby_Blazen June 10, 2008, 05:46 PM Are you talking about a flat top or a Carry Handle AR? dodging230grainers June 10, 2008, 07:42 PM Carry handle AR. 22_Shooter June 10, 2008, 07:57 PM Here's one I found with a quick search on Bravo's site: http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/v/vspfiles/photos/MCT-A2C-3.jpg Here's the link to it: http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/Midwest-Industries-MI-A2C-A2-Adjustable-Cantilever-p/mct-a2c.htm Midwest Industries makes quality products. dodging230grainers June 11, 2008, 12:44 AM Ok thanks, so I do need a special mount that goes over the handguard like that one? are there any that are cheaper that mount onto the carrying handle, or the rail in the case of an M4A3? Bobarino June 11, 2008, 02:21 AM the EOTech is meant to mount directly to an A3 type mount, aka the M1913 Picatinny rail. if you have a fixed carry handle or just want to mount it above the carry handle, you'll have to get an adaptor made for such or the gooseneck mount as pictured above which will allow you to co-witness your optics and irons. check Brownells, ARFcom, etc. there are tons of them. Bobby ETA: you can also replace your stock handguards with a 4 rail system and mount it to the top of the handguards. Yosemite**Sam June 11, 2008, 02:49 AM Spend the money and replace your upper with a Rock River UTE2 upper. It's a thing of beauty and it allows a fixed rear sight for co-witnessing. Also the mounting to the receiver is rock solid. I've tried the Benny Coley carry handle mount and I wasn't impressed. It's very simular to the one above. Good luck. ftierson June 11, 2008, 01:32 PM You can mount the 512 directly on your standard flattop upper with a standard BUIS (for example, a Matech PADS) and the sights will co-witness with the Eotech dot... No need for the RRA UTE2 unless you want the UTE2 for other reasons... I don't mean anything negative here about the UTE2 either... Forrest
