Does anyone have info on these guns? How accurate are they with that 16" barrel? How bad is the kick? Muzzle blast? Do the plastic mags hold up?
TIA

They're made on a semi-RPK receiver. The RPK is a beefed up AK designed to fill the LMG role. The Saiga .308 receiver has the RPK reinforcement on one side but not the other.
Short barrels don't hurt accuracy. If anything, short fat barrels are, in general, more accurate than long thin ones.
Accuracy reports I've heard have been favorable. 2-3MOA or better. A lot of people don't shoot really good ammo in these rifles, and the Saigas are, like all AKs, cursed with an inadequate sight radius. I suspect that with good ammo and a decent scope, most Saiga .308s will do 2MOA or better.
The mags hold up.
It's a decent gun.
I haven't heard anything unusual about the recoil. They're 8-9lb semi-autos, so recoil shouldn't be too bad.
16" bbl on a rifle is going to be loud. On the other hand, there is a version of the Saiga .308 that has a 20" or 21" bbl.
