Figure THR would be my first stop in my search for good equipment. I will be working as an armed security officer on the weekends, and need a GOOD duty belt and holster for my springfield xd9. Looking to buy only once... and hopefully will last me for a long while. BUT honestly I I've never purchased my own equipment. (Used their uncle mike's holster with my revolver and an old leather duty belt) Just need some opinions from anyone with experience wearing these over 12 hours in one sitting. If I could wear the holster for CC it would be all the better. Please.... all opinions welcome.

Safariland have a few I believe - but they are expensive. Just google; Safariland XD-9.
Bianchi make excellent holsters and some websites show an AccuMold Cruiser, Vanguard, Defender holsters etc for the XD-9. I could not find these on the Bianchi website for some reason; they all have a 2 and 1/4" belt slot for a standard duty belt.

I would stay away from patent leather (that shiny plastic stuff) as it degrades and tends to crack at stress points like mag carrier snap lids and holster thumbbreaks. I like old fashioned leather and have carried a Browning High Power in a Bianchi 19L thumbbreak holster on a 1.75" ranger style belt with leather inner belt, loaded with twin mag holders from Safariland, cuff case, Stinger Scorpion light, and a baton for several years with no problems.
