Finally got to shoot my Iver Johnson Super Sealed Eight
target revolver of 1946. Prior to today it has been unfired.

Fired 50 shots as 15 yards, 24 slow fire, 26 double action.
The couple outside the bull were fired on the first round
of eight shots when I realized I was wearing the wrong
glasses. Chambers and extractor star still have alot of
burrs and I will have to polish them out (had to press the
rounds into the chambers) and this will alieviate the
extraction problems too. Off to Brownells site to spend
more money.

Here's the gun:

Made a holster for it today. found full flap on ebay that was supposed to be black. when i dyed it, it ruined the leather at the bends. decided to make a quarter flap holster to go with the cartridge belt i bought and my Buck knife.

Nice gun, I got one maybe 4-5 years ago. I've never shot mine, it has been shot though.

Good for you! That's a nice revolver there. How's the DA trigger?

The DA trigger felt like it was knockin off burrs.
SA trigger was sweet! Once I get the chambers right
I will look at the DA trigger.

I picked up an IJ Super Shot awhile back- older brother of the Super Sealed Eight. The guns are almost identical in appearance, but the Super Shot holds nine rounds and was last manufactured in 1939 as I understand.
This one has been shot and the double action pull is pretty good- single action is very good. The sights are very narrow and the trigger will pinch your finger if you are not careful. I don't shoot it very often, but it does generate alot of interest when you take it to the range.
Fun classic revolvers.
