I was at a gun show last weekend and for the first tiime I saw Microtech OTF automatic knives. I instantly fell under their spell. The double edged scarabs are simply too cool. I normally would not consider such a plain looking thing a piece of art, but I do on these. Just what I need, another expensive habit to support.
I didn't even know these type things were openly available until last weekend. Very cool.
Anyone here collect these? I admit to purchasing a scarab knock off from a neighboring stand just to see if I really liked it before spending the money on the real thing (the copy was $80, the real thing $500), and have come to the conclusion that I need to start saving up for the original.
I hear the microtech warranty and service is stellar, and I've heard great things about sutrdiness and longevity, but would love some real world thougths from those who own them, not those who are trying to seel them to me.
Thanks!
