I picked up some Berry's boxes from Graf's with my last order in .38 Special. They are kinda lousy, specifically the latch. The latch is weak and is prone to open with slight hits to the case. I haven't loaded them into a range bag yet, but I don't have faith in them.

My MTM 9mm cases and Frankford Arsenal .45ACP, .223, and .30-06 cases latch much better, and the MTM cases are, by far, the best of the three.

Just an FYI.

MTM cases are great.

Only after I bought a bunch though did it occur to me to go "dumpster diving" at the range and pull out empty boxes from the trashcans at the range. They wear out after some number of uses but I almost always find a few on every range trip. (and that's being picky, I could use the ones that someone threw a half-empty coke in with it but I don't touch those).

Maybe you got bad Berry's boxes from Graf, strat81. I have a couple dozen Berry's boxes and they don't pop open, unless I drop a full box on concrete from 6 feet or so. Can you take them back to Graf's?

I was going to buy a truckload of MTM cases, but I made friendly at the local range and took home garbage bags full of empty ammo boxes. As a bonus, some of them had brass in them, too.

Did you have to pay a lead surcharge since it came from Berrys?

LOL, no lead surcharge on the boxes.

The boxes are cheap enough it doesn't pay to return them. I'll keep them until I open my range bag and find a few hundred cartridges rolling around.

I should've just spent the extra few $$$ on MTM boxes. I'm not angry or anything and will probably buy other Berry's products in the future.

Yea, same here with Berry's. They are cheap, cheaper if you buy 10.

MTM I buy for rifle.

Berry's is okay when you need cheap.

Berry's is my standard for all pistol...rifle, well I may look at MTM.

I've not had any problems to date.

I like standardizing, the cases stack better.

Afy, have you tried Midway UK/Europe?

I don't know the laws for shipping that stuff. 15.74 GBP for an ammo can. Ouch.

I havent had any problem with them. i have all kinds from Mtm, midway, berrys, Then the freeebeeees.

The best you can get. When someone at the range shoots new ammo on the same type you shoot. I always get the boxes and holders. Those are great.

Yes have tried Midway UK... wont ship to france. They take forever to ship in the uK...8-10 days so will need to time my purchase very carefully. Plus you need to be resident in the UK to buy from them. Also perpetually out of stock..
