I am from florida and i have been seeing bear tracks close to wear i live. Can anybody give me some guess of what the bear might weigh from the size of the tracks. The back paw is 7-3/4 in long. Front paw is 4-1/2 in long. There is no farms or garbage dumps in the area. This bear is living off the land.

well those numbers sound kinda of odd. If you are not used to seeing bear tracks in that area i would assume that it would be a young bear thats mother has recently pushed away and is kind of wondering but in that situation the bear wouldnt be but 150lbs or so max. Take note of how deep the tracks are in the soil compared to yourself and it may give you a resonable guess. With those kinds of number i would guess a bear to be 250 lbs or so. But again i'm not from that area so maybe our bears are different.
