Has anybody subscribed to this before. I sounds like it would be really helpful. How did you like it or is it a waste of money for the common reloader making common rounds, nothing rare or fancy. Thanx

My thoughts haven't changed since the thread:"Would you recommend Loaddata.com" ?

I find the articles worth the money for folks who never use a load - and I find the computer search facility very useful indeed for folks who frex have some Winchester 452 left and aren't currently loading shotgun so want handgun plinking loads (see Speer #11 for that but that's another thread) and so it goes.

Stevespages is a good reference site for reloading as long as you understand that he pushes the envelope a bit on his loads. A lot of them exceed the manuals. Use stevespages, but use caution too...

I havescanned through both of those sites, great info. As far as Steves goes I see that the caliber, bullet weight and 1 powder charge is highlighted. Obviously the caliber and bullet weight are highlighted for obvious reasons but what about the particular powder. Was that the most accurate for him or the hottest of them all. I must be missing something. Thanks for the info on load data.

I know Steves pages use some pretty hot loads. Like what has already been mentioned. Md Smiths pages are more or less text book pages. Saves a lot of time from having to look into the books. I use md smith a lot. good info on his. Now is loads are also near max loads. I like his because the format is a lot easier to use. a lot more data too.

Both of these guys really did there homework though and have put a lot into these sites. by far they are the best out there.

I subscribe to Handloader but don't use loaddata.
I do use
1. Steves pages.
2.ammoguide.com
3. thereloadersnest.com
4 Thehandloadersbench.

That and this site and ar15.com reloading.

Steve's data may seem hot, but in reality there is not one load on his web site that cannot be found or backed up by a manual.

There is no replacement for a hard cover relaoding manual sitting on the bench open to the specific cartridge and bullet you are loading.

I have not used load data .com I used steves once for load data adn I found that many of his loads came out of cartridges of the world. I don't like using others people data because what maybe safe in their firearm may not be safe in mine.

I use ammoguide.com as a reference, particularly for obscure cartridges. Some stuff can't be found in books.

I subscribe to Handloader magazine, but haven't found that loaddata.com represented anything of value to me. I keep meticulous notes for every charge I work up for every caliber for every weapon in the safe.

That, combined with some hardcover loading manuals, and notes from longtime shooting friends who have reloaded as long as I have generally gets me what I need to know for load development.
