Just thought I'd share my initial impression of my new CCW rig for my SIG P226; A Comp-Tac Minotaur IWB, ordered directly from Comp-Tac, and a 5.11 Tactical polymer-reinforced leather gunbelt from LA Police gear.

I knew the Comp-Tac would be awesome (Everyone is raving about them) and it is. The company was an absolute joy to do business with, and will get much of my business in the future. Nice touches included a handwritten thankyou note and , of course, the holster candy!

The 5.11 belt is good too. It's the first actual dedicated gunbelt I've ever owned, and let me tell you, it does make a difference over a regular men's dress belt from Belk's. It even has a nice polymer insert to maintain stiffness. For $25.99 +S&H, you can't go wrong with that.

So... moral of the story... Comp-Tac=Awesome, and gun belts are a good thing to own, and they don't have to cost an arm and a leg. (And mine even has the "tactical" handcuff key pocket in the middle of the back, just in case I ever need to escape after being arrested :rolleyes:)

Did you get the 1.5" or 1.75" version? The 1.5" says it's for accessories, not holsters.

1.5", because I've had problems with larger belts fitting in belt loops on some of my pants.

That was my thoughts too. I've been using a leather 1.5" pants belt and it's fine until I go to put on the full size 1911 then I really feel the need for a real belt.
