Performed very well after sighting in, this range is 50 yards out to the berm with steel knock down plates set at various distances,20, 30, 40 ,and 50 yard. I was able to knock them all down from a sandbag rest, a few flyers on the 50 but once I figured the drop of the bullet ,no problem. This is the gun I picked up in trade the other day, put 60 or so rounds thru it and then gave it a good cleaning.
Also had an old Luger from WWI that I shot off the rest at paper, surplus and factory shells . All over the place , not very impressed but maby more practice---my Tokarev shoots better.

My favorite S&W is my Model 15. Enjoy yours, they are keepers for sure. Bill

I picked up one off gunbroker last year for $240. It was an Atlanta hospital security trade-in. It was parked and DA only. It was a real dog when I got it. I had my dad recut the sear notch and make it DA/SA, and then re-caseharden the notch so it wouldn't wear out. Then I had him send the hammer and trigger to Turnbull with some other parts (for free) and have the re-casecolored (better looking the original S&W). Then finally I had the whole thing matt blued (and a new rear sight blade added). Total cost about $270 or so and the gun looks awesome and shoots super great. I put an excellent pair of S&W Goncalvo Alves target grips I'd took off an old M19 on it to complete the package. The gun is starting to grow on me.
