I used to think Spyderco knives were ugly (and still think that many of them are) but I think I want a police model now. It is made of VG-10, is this good?

I like vg-10 quite a bit.
Good edges are obtainable. One fo the sharpest knives I use is the endura in vg-10. I prefer it to cpm440v myself.

VG10 is probably my favorite steel for EDC. Takes an unbelievable edge and holds as well as most other super high performances steels on the market today. I highly reccommend Spyderco knives to.:D

CW,
Properly heat treated 440C is good, VG-10 is better.
