I am abount to purchase a new chronograph an would like to hear some reviews from those who own various models? I don't necessarily need all the bells and whistles but I don't mind spending $$$ on quality.

I like my Pact chronograph. Whatever one you get make sure that the display is separate from the sensors. Too many good chronographs have bitten the dust when shot!

I received a Chrony Master ( the Master features the display that you can bring to the bench, very handy) for my birthday. I have only had one trip to the range with it, but I was very pleased. It was simple to set up and operate. It performed as advertised, and I was pleasantly surprised at the number of features it has. It gets good reviews, you can find it here...http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=306796&t=11082005

Get a CED M2 Chronograph if you can find one.
I own a Shooting Chrony but never really liked it.

They're all "Good", just some have extra cool doo-dads that give you remote displays, and memory options and printers etc.
The "best", is the chrono you use... and your buddies don't shoot.

I have a PACT that I'm learning to use, but I'm having some success with it. Not 100%, but not too bad. I like that the instructions that came with it say "don't suffer in silence! If you're having problems, call us and we can sort you out". My PACT was having some issues with not seeing a lot of shots, erroneous readings, etc. I called, they gave me a dew more tips, and it's working better now. All in all I like it, even if it was a little pricier than the least expensive chony's like the one below.
I borrowed a Shooter's Gamma Chronograph for a few months and did not care for it. The features and etc it had were nice enough, but I never did get accurate readings off it except for 22LR. Bad readings, no readings, I had no luck at all with the dumb thing. Even had a few people with chrony experience come over and help me with it, and they couldn't get it to work right for anything but 22 either.
