I use Lee dies exclusively...and everything else is RCBS!

All modern dies, from any manufacture, are 7/8" x 14 TPI, and will work interchangeably in any modern reloading press. (Well O.K., Dillon might be an exception)
I think it is a good idea to keep dies & shell holders from the same manufacture together, but that probably isn't even necessary anymore.
Years ago, some manufactures had different shell-holder specs then others. You potentially could create an excess headspace condition with bottle-neck rifle calibers if you mixed them together and just screwed the die down against the shell holder.

In all honesty, I haven't run across a die manufacturer whose dies I didn't like.
I like Lee and RCBS dies the most, though. . . . guess because I started out on RCBS equipment then began acquiring more Lee equipment. I definitely like the Lee resizing/decapper dies--almost impossible to break the decapping pin. But I like the RCBS bullet-seating dies better because of the depth adjustment and separate locking ring.
They're all good and the target/deer/beer can doesn't know the difference between the brands.
