Can anyone help me? I have come into possession of a engraved 12ga SxS Acier Cockerill shotgun. Both barrels are damaged and need to be replaced. The side of the barrels are marked Industria Pietero Zanolfiti-Gardone VT (BS) Italy. Dose anyone know if the company still in busness or is there gunsmith in the US who repairs these shotguns?
Thank You
Charlie

Barrels damaged how? If they are dented, the dents can often be raised with special tooling. A specially made miniature hydraulic ram is positioned under the dent and the dent is pressed out. Any good gunsmith who specailizes in shotgunswould have that. More details on the damage would help. Pics?

Acier Cockerill means, colloquially, Rooster Steel, and is the trademark of Cockerill Sambre, the biggest steel company in Belgium. Here selling to an Italian maker.
The gun is a Pietero Zanolfiti. I don't know that I have heard of the make, there is a Pietero Zanoletti that has been sold here by various importers. Either way, a whole set of barrels would be tough to find and expensive to get fitted. Hope Bill is right and they can be fixed.

I can't imagine it would be economical to replace - it may be possible to sleeve to a smaller gauge and so preserve the engraved features in a shooter. Then again a parts gun may be on Gunbroker at this very minute I don't know.
In any case I would try to find a good double shotgun smith regardless of brand since I also can't imagine anyone making a specialty of an obscure Italian brand.
There are well known names such as Gunter Pfrommer and no I don't have a web site or contact information. I'd ask Brownell's and Doug Turnbull and such for suggestions and I'd be prepared to decide it wasn't worth the money.

I'd talk to Briley about it.

It may very well be that it would cost way more to fix it then the gun is worth.
But then again, "Both barrels are damaged and need to be replaced." doesn't give us much to go on.
What is the damage?
