I had a great day at the range.
No, it wasn't that I got to fondle and shoot double rifles and a variety of big bores normally not found in the average American gun rack.
Nor was it the silenced Mark 22 I had the opportunity to help sight in. Talk about normally not found in the average gun rack... anywhere.
No, it was the gunfire heard in the distance, off and on, all day. Very satisfying...
Shooting, while perhaps not what it was everywhere, is alive and well where I was yesterday. And that made it a great day, at least to me.
