I have been hunting for some cheap and reliable rifle slings from my rifles. I don't need a tactical 15 point nylon and velcro tacti-whosiwatsit sling. Just a rifle sling. After a little searching I found this at the Sportsman's Guide. They are US military surplus general purpose straps. They are made of two inch wide canvas (I don't like nylon, it can melt on a hot barrel), with brass heavy duty snaps, and are adjustable for length. They appear very strong, I can't imagine breaking one. And talk about CHEAP, you get 30 of them for 15 bucks! Now I have to find a use for the other 25 of them since the rifles that needed slings all have them now.

One downside though. When I took them out of the packaging, the brass and steel adjuster buckle all had a yucky green coat of corrosion/protectant or whatever it was. It cleaned right off though. I'm set for slings for life.
