In anticipation of my 870 eventually turning up, can anyone tell me if you can get stock shims to raise the poi for this gun?

I know i might not need them, but seeing as I do for my Mossberg and my Benelli it does seem possible :)

No,Throdgrain, but homemade shims are easy to make and install.

My favorite material is aluminum foil, folded numerous times.

Damn. Mossberg make them but Remington dont?? How wierd.

Oh well, I hope it fits me better :) Only a month to go before I can start ringing to see if it's on it's way ...

You are going to have to bend the receiver bolt mount to change the stock mounting angle(s) on an 870. On an 1100/11-87 you have to bend the action spring sleeve mounting. Dicey in my book, but I have certainly seen it done plenty of times.
