Took the new Sig to the range and shot 150 rounds of S & B 125 gr. FMJ and 20 rounds of Speer Gold Dot JHP 125 gr. This was after I field stripped it, cleaned and lubed with Breakfree and FP-10.

This pistol handled unbelievably well. Very little recoil, almost a push rather than a snap. The weight (and this isn't much) absorbed the 357 Sig very easily.

There was a bit more muzzle blast than a 9mm or even a 45ACP but it was not a problem at all and I was shooting in a darkened indoor range.

Overall, I was absolutely impressed. Got it home, cleaned and lubed it once again and the pistol is raring to go.

By the way, there was ZERO ftf's, not a single blip, no misfeeds, zilch. The pistol ate everything and threw it out effortlessly.

I didn't work much on accuracy, just getting a feel for the DA/SA trigger and handling of the gun.

I tried finding 357 Sig Snap Caps but NO ONE in Denver carries this caliber.

My gun dealer sold me the S & B for $9.80 a box for the 357 Sig. Not a bad price. I bought five boxes to start.

That's it. A beautiful pistol that will be my friend. Now am waiting for a Milt Sparks VM-2 and carrying it in a Wilderness Safepacker holster.

More shooting in the near future.

Congrats on the new SIG!

For a temp snap cap, take the primer from an empty casing & replace it w/ a piece of pencil eraser ;)

My SIG manual states that SIG pistols may be dry-fired. Snap caps are not needed for the SIG design.

cheers
