He's checking out "surrendered" weapons in the Solomons, where Australia has sent in a "peacekeeping" force. (The first thing they did was declare an amnesty for firearms to be handed in for destruction.) Now, Howard wants to impose the same insane gun laws we have in Australia over the Pacific region -- including New Zealand.
