Who should I use to blast my Glock's slide for that stainless look?
I emailed Burwell a while back & never got a reply.

Bead or Sandblasting the Slide will give you a bare metal (in the white) look.
It may or may not be what you want and will rust and stain very easily.
Better to have the slide plated if you want a two-tone look. Robar's NP3 is the best IMO.

If you insist on just blasting the Tennifer of the slide Robar can do that for you.

I think you can ruin the finish on your Glock slide yourself without any professional help. All it should take is wet-or-dry abrasives you can get at any auto supply store. When you're finished you'll have removed the black oxide finish.
The Tenifer is under the black oxide. It's harder and it's a treatment, not a finish, which is why Glock goes to the expense of doing it. You will need professional help in ruining that treatment, but blasting it with aluminum oxide should do it. I think that almost any good refinisher can screw it up for you.

Funny, yet true. The finish is about the only thing I actually like about my glock. I wish I could get them to finish a few of my 1911s.
But, to answer the question, Caspian makes stainless slides, I would imagine they have options as far as cocking serrations and sight cuts. I'd go that route before getting rid of the darn-near bulletproof black finish.

I didn't ask to be flamed. I want the stainless look on my Glock slide. All I need is to be directed to good companies that can make it happen for me without ruining it & without breaking the bank.
