That's pretty amazing. I mean, a .45 ACP isn't exactly quiet. And yet the cap & ball seemed louder.

He he, Today at the range I had my 5.5" barreled Pietta 58' NMA to try some loads & one of the guys that was there wanted to know what kind of CANNON I HAD since it was so loud, & made a lot of smoke.

You're right but the .45ACP makes a loud POP where the .44 caliber Black Powder load makes a big BOOM.
